Annette, this is a response to your request to receive comments about “How Yoga Has Helped You in Your Every Day Life”
I am a type 1 diabetic for 48 years. When I first began taking the class I would sometime have low blood sugar during the class. Your teaching has helped me to regulate how to eat before the lesson and how to control my low blood sugars. At home, my A1C’s are lower, I am feeling much better & the breathing technique helps any anxiety I may have.
~Namaste~

Annette, I wanted you and others to know how much your yoga classes have helped me in many ways. I have degenerative disc disease, scar tissue from a previous back surgery and bone spurs in the neck area. Your classes have helped me to keep my spine more flexible, my muscles more relaxed and my mind calmer! I would recommend yoga for any one, but for older folks, I believe it will help you to age slower. There are many good yoga teachers but for me, you, Annette, help me to relax more and to feel deeper because you reflect that in your teaching. Thank you so much for adding an important practice in my life!

Annette,
Don’t we all tire of hearing about the “next great thing” that will change your life, make you younger, let you live longer, yadda, yadda, yadda? I can testify that I found that “next great thing” 2 1/2 years ago when I walked into your yoga seminar at The Ocean Club. I have attended your classes regularly at Yoga for You the 2 1/2 years since, lost 50 pounds, lowered my blood pressure, put off for now a knee and hip replacement and feel wonderful. The amazing part of it all is how simple it is. Attend class and follow the instruction. Who knew that changing your life could be so easy? Daily, you and the other instructors tell us to “do to your capability”, “do no harm” and one of your favorites ” you have a lifetime to learn”. I’ve listened, I’ve learned and yoga has added unimaginable quality to my life. At 68 years of age, I have never prayed for longevity but for quality of life. Yoga has been the answer to those prayers. Although yoga can be a purely physical practice, I have found that its metaphysical aspects meshes nicely with my Christian beliefs. Peace to the world, peace to the mind, peace to the lips and peace to the heart. Namaste/Amen

Annette,
Today is the start of a new year and I want to thank you so much for being a part of changing my overall health sense Oct 28,2011. Your fall retreat has made a huge impact on my outlook of my overall health and how I want to feel each day. I feel great…I am now off almost all my precription medications. I have had a past of medicals problems such as fibromyalgia, Sinutitis, High blood pressure, high stroke risk, back fusion and more, not to mention some depression because of it all. I thank God for sending me that day to the Ocean Club Resort for a yoga class unknowing that it would change my life for the better when I first met you. Just what I needed, I now enjoy waking up, making my freah green smoothies, excercise and yogo. I also look forward shoping for fresh organic fruits and veggies. Trying new recipes is great. It’s amazing how what I have always been told growing up that you are what you eat…Is really true. I now know that and will continue to be a living testimony that we can heal our own sick bodies if we take care of it. Thank you again for teaching me what I wish everyone could learn from and apply there lifestyle changes to a peaceful healthy feeling for 2012.

Happy New Year
Ginger

Ginger, you are a living testament to the ‘truth’ about food and health. It has been a joy to help you transform your life and you had the DESIRE first to move beyond pain; then you put into action the simple steps so you could FEEL the difference. May you continue to bloom and share the good news with your loved ones. Love Annette xo
