This Halloween…nurses are on the menu and energy vampires…are hungry.

It is spooky month and everyone is dressing up as a vampire this Halloween!

They aren’t the blood sucking types but they still feed on you. They come from nowhere and everywhere and they feed on your energy. Sometimes they can even take the shape of an object or a life event or a place or memory. It doesn’t even need to be a tangible thing, energy vampires are everywhere. Nurses are especially vulnerable to this because of the sheer number of energy vampires they are exposed to daily.

  • The doctor Dracula’s.
  • The pale vampires that lie in beds and ring bells all day.
  • Manager Vampires (they come with clipboards and earplugs too).
  • Even your wonderful loving family members can sometimes transition into vampires.

There’s the vampires who enjoy arguing, vampires who are always having a huge crisis situation even when they’re not. There’s the passive aggressive ones, the ones that always need your attention. The ones that cannot wait to bring you down. They are everywhere.

The normal thing to do would be to run but you are a nurse and you stick around and you allow them all to feed on you until you are depleted and drained of energy.

You don’t stop to replenish your energy and they don’t stop feeding on your energy. It continues to happen until you experience the dark night of the soul.

You crash. You experience SAPS (stress, anxiety, pain and suffering). Then one day you wake up, and you are open to healing.

What’s the solution when “everything sucks??

Well if you don’t know me by now (sing it yes!)

It’s the Sacred Remedy! 🌬️🍃🍂

3 parts. Easy. Proven. Anyone can do it.

BREATHE. STRETCH. REST.

Take 5. Break the pattern.

It’s so easy but many won’t do it until they are desperate for some relief. Or perhaps it seems too easy to truly be powerful. We are taught that everything worth doing in life is supposed to be a huge challenge but we are also taught that the simplest answer is most often the correct one.

Here, give it a try. Nurses are ALWAYS giving, giving and giving – keep your favorite Halloween treats to yourself this time! Take some YOU time. Keep your distance from your vampires and take a breather right now. No need to feel guilty, sometimes we need space even from those we love most. Say NO to some things so that you can say YES to the things that matter most to you.

A Special Halloween Meditation Just for You.

I’ve put together a special Halloween edition meditation for you to replenish your energy and keep the energy vampires at bay. Don’t worry, there will be no surprise jump scares in this.

I hope you enjoyed the meditation but just in case that was not enough, you can always count on some sacred nourishment. Here’s a wonderful Halloween smoothie you can enjoy that will surely restore your energy. Don’t throw out those extra pumpkin seeds!

I am sure you are tired of the same suggestions every year. The sexy shrunken outfit nurse (ever tried doing CPR in on of those outfits?), the scary Steven King Nurse, and of course Nurse Ratched. Or perhaps you’re poking fun at the stereotypes and that’s exactly what you’re dressing up as this year…haha. Whatever it is, do share your costumes with us on Facebook!

And there’s of course the combination of all stereotypes…sexy scary ratched goth nurse.
